Cosette's straight hair
This morning I dropped the girls off with my sister so I could make a quick trip to Wal-Mart. When I went to pick them up, she had straightened her hair. Obviously I didn't know what I was doing, which is why it didn't work for me. She looks so different with straight hair. Its very obvious that she might need a hair cut, but i don't think I'll be able to bring myself to cut her hair quite yet.

Another trip to the dr.
So last week it was Ally's turn to go to the doctor and this week it was Cosettes turn. She gets another turn in 2 weeks for her 15 month well baby. She started having green discharge in her eyes and her snot turned green, so I decided to take her in. Poor thing has an ear infection and a sinus infection. She is so excited about her medicine. Cosette has been very jealous of Ally getting to take medicine twice a day. She was totally thrilled when I pulled out her prescriptions when we got home and told her they were for her. I'm so glad both girls love medicine, it makes giving it to them SO easy.
Right now we are just relaxing and trying to get presents ready and finalized for Christmas. I hate shopping for gifts 3 weeks before Christmas, I'd rather get it done now or know at least know exactly what I am getting everyone.

The few pictures from the last few days
Great Grandma Horn got these cute matching dresses for the girls. Ally was so excited about wearing the dress to church. They had pink tights on and Ally even had pink undies on. They were all pink and all girl. The look Cosette has on her face is one she shows us often. I love it. She has such the attitude and doesn't have a problem telling you when she doesn't like something.

I thought this was funny and it keeps making me laugh.
I want to start by saying, this is a forward I got from a friend and thought it was funny, so I sent it to a few friends and family members. Some of which thought I was VERY serious. Such as my mom, she called me earlier today to tell me she had a big box of pads I could use. I had to explain to her that I just thought it was funny. One of my brothers emailed me his foot size, after he said that was gross. Others found the humor in it like I did. So let me know what you think, maybe you can pass it on to your family members and see what kind of response you get.
My dear friends and family,
Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.
How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc. These slippers are: * Soft and Hygienic * Non-slip grip strips on the soles * Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh * No more bending over to mop up spills * Disposable and biodegradable * Environmentally safe * Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags. I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.

All dressed for church
The dresses the girls wore on Sunday were absolutely adorable. Their hair, close to perfect.

I am VERY ready for Cosette to finish getting in all of her teeth. She is incredibly sensitive when it comes to pain. Every tooth she has gotten thus far (all 8 front teeth) has come with LOTS of tears and tearful nights. She is now working on getting 2 of her bottom molars. The only time Ally ever showed pain when getting teeth was with her molars, she's a tough little girl. Cosette though, cries at the slightest amount of pain. She's not a wimp by any means, she loves to wrestle quite roughly with Ally, she just can't handle a hang nail. Does that make sense?
The girls aren't adjusting very well to the time change. I know it was only an hour, but the girls have been waking up earlier than before the time change. Some mornings this is as early as 4:30am. Way too early! By the time 9am rolls around I am ready for a nap. Hopefully the girls adjust at some point soon.

We got out and voted!
Can you tell who we voted for?
If you look closely at Ally's shirt it says "future president". Matt thought she needed to have her picture taken at the polls with her shirt on.
Family Home Evening
Halloween
We started the night off at my best friends, parents house. The filled up the trailer with hay and gave the kids rides around the yard. Ally enjoyed it, but Cosette did not.
Trick or Treating at the library
Our library has trick or treating there. This year they did it the night before Halloween. The girls had a great time. We also did trunk or treat at the church, but we didn't get any pictures.
