Happy Halloween

We walked to pick Ally up from school, so we had to bundle up.  Jo wasn't too sure about the snowman suit.

 Halloween clothes.  Lucy and Jo had Halloween pants, but dirtied them earlier in the day.

 Seriously I was awfule at taking pictures this year.  Maybe because between juggling the camera, kids Halloween buckets and keeping an eye on kids or holding kids I had to take something out.  This was the first house we went to and they were excited.  After doing 3 neighbors, we got in the car and drove to Grandma Julies and 2 friends houses and then came back home.  The kids then RAN from house to house.  Lucy would say "trick or treat, thank you, next house, next house" at every house.  She was hyped up and excited.  Jo got carried by daddy since she gets distracted easily.  She decided she was done when we were half way around our street.  The kids had a blast and are looking forward to next year.

Holy cow!  Ally has grown so much.  I got her this dress 2 years ago for my sisters wedding.  At the time it was a few inches below her knee.

 So Miss Josephine was able to wear these leg warmers for a short time last year, then her thighs just got too big for them to be comfortable.  She's slimmed down so much since last year, that they fit comfortably.

Fall afternoon

We started the day with Lucy pooping (her reward was butterfly wings and an IU hat) in the potty.  We went to a few garage sales.  Played in the backyard while Matt worked on the wood piles.  We ended the night carving our pumpkin.

A crazy fun day

Miss Jo figured out how to climb onto chairs...yesterday. 

Today she learned she could climb from the chair to the table.  She climbed up there, looked at me and said "thank you".  Silly girl.

 Josephine had her 15 month appointment today.  She passed.  Her weight has slowed down...so she's in the 75th percentile now. 

 My kids LOVE tomatoes.  They eat them like apples.  Lucy decided she was done with her's about half way through it and handed it to Jo.  She took several bites, then proceeded to smash it, play with it and destroy it.

Tonight it was half a hot dog.  She was quite proud of herself.

Matt and I now get to go back to cutting all her food and giving her small quantities at a time.

 She loved the candy.  She loves smarties.  She might like other candy, but we've only given her smarties.

Our fun day

Today Ally doesn't have school (parent teacher conferences).

So we had a fun morning.  We did an early lunch at McDonalds and played for an hour.  Then we went for a hike at Sodalis Nature Park.  The kids had fun and ran hard.

We set up camp in the family room. 

 Raked leaves.

 Played hard.

 Jumped in the leaves.

 Ate popsicles.
