The few pictures from the last few days

Great Grandma Horn got these cute matching dresses for the girls. Ally was so excited about wearing the dress to church. They had pink tights on and Ally even had pink undies on. They were all pink and all girl. The look Cosette has on her face is one she shows us often. I love it. She has such the attitude and doesn't have a problem telling you when she doesn't like something.

I like this picture a lot. I tried to straighten Cosette's hair on Friday and it just wouldn't cooperate. I'm thinking she's going to be stuck with curly hair, unless I apply hair product to help straighten it.

The other day I was getting the room picked up so I could vacuum and the girls decided to take over.

The girls LOVE LOVE LOVE milk. In fact a little too much, they go through a gallon every 2-3 days.

I thought this was funny and it keeps making me laugh.

I want to start by saying, this is a forward I got from a friend and thought it was funny, so I sent it to a few friends and family members. Some of which thought I was VERY serious. Such as my mom, she called me earlier today to tell me she had a big box of pads I could use. I had to explain to her that I just thought it was funny. One of my brothers emailed me his foot size, after he said that was gross. Others found the humor in it like I did. So let me know what you think, maybe you can pass it on to your family members and see what kind of response you get.

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.
How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.These slippers are: * Soft and Hygienic * Non-slip grip strips on the soles * Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh * No more bending over to mop up spills * Disposable and biodegradable * Environmentally safe * Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags. I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.

Yesterday Matt got to stay home ALL day with us. No school and no work. We had a great day doing nothing but hanging out at the house. Yeah for Veterans Day!

I am VERY ready for Cosette to finish getting in all of her teeth. She is incredibly sensitive when it comes to pain. Every tooth she has gotten thus far (all 8 front teeth) has come with LOTS of tears and tearful nights. She is now working on getting 2 of her bottom molars. The only time Ally ever showed pain when getting teeth was with her molars, she's a tough little girl. Cosette though, cries at the slightest amount of pain. She's not a wimp by any means, she loves to wrestle quite roughly with Ally, she just can't handle a hang nail. Does that make sense?
The girls aren't adjusting very well to the time change. I know it was only an hour, but the girls have been waking up earlier than before the time change. Some mornings this is as early as 4:30am. Way too early! By the time 9am rolls around I am ready for a nap. Hopefully the girls adjust at some point soon.

If you look closely at Ally's shirt it says "future president". Matt thought she needed to have her picture taken at the polls with her shirt on.

As we walked to our polling place (its just 3 blocks from our house) I remembered doing this walk back in May with the girls. All morning I told Ally that we were going to VVVVV ote and all she was hearing was bbboat. I think she was a bit disappointed when we got there and there were no boats.

Family Home Evening

Last night, the girls and Matt (with help from me) made these rice krispy haunted houses. They were fun to make and eat.

Halloween

We started the night off at my best friends, parents house. The filled up the trailer with hay and gave the kids rides around the yard. Ally enjoyed it, but Cosette did not.

Matt got to ride as well.

The girls had fun running and playing. We'll have to get together with those 2 cute boys and their adorable little sister, real soon.

Earlier in the day, the girls played with 2 of their previous costumes.

Cosette wasn't quite sure about the cat hat or the flower. She couldn't move in the flower.

Ally was really upset that she couldn't wear the flower, she still doesn't understand why she can't wear smaller clothes.

Trick or Treating at the library

Our library has trick or treating there. This year they did it the night before Halloween. The girls had a great time. We also did trunk or treat at the church, but we didn't get any pictures.

Naptime Crazies

Ally has started this ritual of as soon as I shut their door at naptime, she climbs out of her bed and into Cosettes crib. Today she went as far as taking 2 pillows and her sippy cup with her. The girls will lay in there and wrestle until I come in and separate them. Yesterday they both woke up from their naps when I was finishing my shower, and I found them wrestling in the crib. Just ignore the towers of tubs in the corner. We don't have a lot of storage space, so I just start stacking it in the corner.

This was after church. Ally had already changed her clothes. This outfit Cosette has on, is the one Ally wore on the day Cosette was blessed last year. It's amazing how fast time flies by.

We went to my moms house after our Sunday afternoon nap. We had dinner and then decorated pumpkin shaped sugar cookies, with orange frosting and lots of different candy. We started doing this when I was like 3 or 4 and it has stuck ever since. This is one of my favorite holiday traditions. It's so fun and we all just sit around the table and decorate our cookies, eat, and visit.

Cosette had frosting everywhere. The girls were very excited to be able to take baths at grandmas. A little side note: Ally now associates eating with taking a bath. Probably because after breakfast and dinner they usually have to take baths due to the amount of food in their hair.
