Weekend fun

Grandma & Grandpa spent the night Friday night. Ally and grandma painted a bird house. Ally did a great job and grandma only had to "touch up" a few places on it.
Mommy & Lucy went to church yesterday.
Ben & Ally have/had yucky coughs and noses, so they had to stay home with daddy.
Lucy was such a good baby and slept the entire 3 hours of church.

To those that have noticed

Matt is growing out his beard. He's planning to shave it at the end of the month. He welcomes your opinions on it because he already knows mine.

Lucy Lyn

Lucy, you've grown so much in the last 6 weeks.
You stick out your tongue quite a bit.

You're holding your head up.

My little helpers

Tonight I was trying to get dinner ready and had 2 "helpers". My normal helper decided she needed to read a book and was boycotting helping me with dinner. For some odd reason I didn't think that tonights dinner should have just been hot dogs and macaroni and cheese. Instead I made spaghetti, cheese bread, stir fry squash & zucchini, and zucchini casserole. We had to leave the house tonight by 5:45 in dress clothes to go to a baptism. Matt got home around 5:30. Meaning, I had to get dinner cooked, served, cleaned up, and kids dressed by myself. Like I said, hot dogs and mac and cheese would have been much easier. Luckily though, I managed to get everything done and we left on time. Woohoo! I am exhausted.
Lucy didn't want to lay on the floor and since I had to get dinner made, she got to watch me.
Ben wanted to be entertained, so I tried to include him.
My adorably chubby baby. She's such a sumo baby! I love it!
Some days are better than others for this mini tornado. Half the day today he was so great, the other half, I thought I was going to go crazy. Luckily though, he takes 2 great naps and during those, I get to regain my composure.

Brownie batter spoons and art

I made brownies last night and gave Ben and Ally each one of the spoons.
This was Ben's first batter covered spoon and I think I'm safe to say, he loved it.
Ally can't seem to eat without getting food everywhere.
Lucia & daddy took a nap and missed partaking in the brownie goodness.
Doesn't it look so good?
One of Ally's friends got her art stuff for her birthday and she was going insane waiting to do it, so while the brownies baked, we painted and colored.
We need to work more on coloring with Ben. He gets the concept, until he decides he's hungry and then just starts munching away on the crayons.
She loves all things art.
I'm hoping she's more artistic than I am.

More pictures from our fun weekend

Ben was his natural tornado self at Grandma and Grandpas.
He dumped a bag of snacks on the floor.

More of the birthday party

Matt got a propane tank for his birthday. Why, you may ask? We always run out at the worst times, like during bbq's when we have a bunch of people over. Hopefully we won't have that happen again now that we have an extra tank.
Matt is now 29 and Kim is 22.

Matt & Kim

Eli lives next door to Grandma & Grandpa Horn. They are both in sunbeams at church together (3/4 yr olds). On Sunday we went to church with grandma and after Sacrament Meeting, Eli came over and took Al by the hand and they walked to primary together holding hands. In primary Eli announced to everyone that "this is my girlfriend Ally". The older boys all giggled and laughed, but Eli didn't notice at all.

Picnic at the park

Friday we had a picnic lunch at the park. Afterwards Matt and Ben had fun swinging.

Ben does this when we're in the car and going down a hill. Weeee

Sette's flowers

See, they are still alive!! I was kind of worried at first that I'd the flowers wouldn't live because I don't really have a green thumb, it's more black when it comes to plants. Thus far I've been successful though. The flowers are still alive and so is my tomato.

Sleepy baby

Lucy had her 1 month appt. today.
She's weighing in at 11.12 lbs and is 22 in.
She is just as refluxy as the rest of the kids, so I wasn't quite sure how she was doing weight wise. Obviously no need to worry though. She is completely perfect in everyway. She got a shot today and the nurse was surprised that she hardly cried. I guess having a big brother will toughen you up!! He's getting better. Every now and then, he'll remember she's here and that he hasn't loved on her in a while, so he'll go attack her with his open mouth kiss, then go back to being "Mr. Destroyer of all things".

This goofy girl is so much fun. She has a deep love for reading books and playing games. As long as you are willing to do those with her, she'll sit there. So full of life and excitement.

Not fair!

Last night for young mens the boys were going to the rec center to swim. It'd been one of those days for Ben, where he needed some one on one time. So he got to go with daddy. Last week Ally got to go to the rec center and swim with Grandma Horn and Tiffney, so she'd had her turn. Last night was Ben's turn. She was convinced that wasn't fair and that she should be able to go as well. Unfortunetly for Ben the time it's his turn, it's chilly out, so he didn't have as much fun as he would have, if it would have been hotter.
Aunt Tahnee, seeing how upset Ally was, offered to play in her pools in the backyard. Once again, it was chilly, so it wasn't very fun. Ally kept asking me to make the hose water warmer. Sorry darling, doesn't work that way!

Let's just say, ALL the kids were ready for bed last night by 8pm, but didn't get there till almost 9pm.
