Sometimes it's hard to blog..
The weather has been SO nice lately. I have found that I would rather be outside playing with the girls, than inside sitting at the computer. 1 reason I'd rather be outside, my house stays clean, the 2nd reason, toys aren't strewn all over the house, 3 it feels nice to have sunshine on your face, and 4th because who REALLY enjoys sitting inside when they could be outside enjoying a 70+ degree day? For those of you that got snow, I'm sorry, I hope it melts soon. For everyone else with nice weather, go out and enjoy it because it'll be VERY hot before you know it.

Blog break
So I guess you could say I took a blog break. I'm not sure why, but I did.
Ally has now gone for 2 weeks without a "working" pacifier. She still likes to go to sleep holding onto her pacifier with a hole in it. I am so glad that it has gone well. Now we are attempting potty training. She has gone on the toilet at least once everyday. She doesn't understand she needs to tell me when she needs to go, so we've had several accidents. I've tried taking her to the bathroom every 1/2 hour, but somehow 5 minutes after sitting on the toilet for 15 minutes, she has an accident.
On Saturday we went with Matt's parents to the Newport Aquarium. We had a pretty good time. We had to change diapers as soon as we got there and Ally was soaked. Luckily I had taken in an extra outfit for each of them. So Ally was on extra outfit #1. An hour and a half later she soaked through AGAIN. So then she was wearing Cosette's extra outfit. She looked a little silly, but it doesn't matter because we didn't see anyone we knew. Then we went to Qdoba for lunch and headed home. Then we had a yummy dinner at Abuelos. The theme for the day was mexican food.
We traded vehicles with Matt's parents. So they took the Jeep with them and are going to try to sell it for us. Here's to hoping it sells so we can go buy a van.
My house right now is in shambles. Not really, but it feels that way. I feel as though I have hit a brick wall with getting everything done around the house. We aren't going anywhere today in hopes of getting more done. So far I've been pretty productive. Dishes are done, the girls have eaten breakfast and lunch, we've showered, made beds, washed laundry, folded laundry, put winter coats away, read my scriptures, and taken naps. Yet I feel like I have SO much still on my plate.
I am looking forward to this weekend. Matt and I are going to the SPEA dinner (last year it was super nice) and get to dress up for it. His parents are going to watch the girls for us. Then on Saturday we are doing the race 4 the cure walk. I really enjoy doing the walk, even though it is SUPER crowded.

Pacifier Free
I would like to say that Ally has been free of sucking on a pacifier since last Sunday morning. Last Sunday we stayed home from church because the girls had runny noses and coughs, that's when I remembered my friend Traci said she cut a hole in her daughters pacifier. So I took Ally's favorite paci and cut a hole in it. She was SUPER mad. She goes to sleep holding on to it, but doesn't suck on it. I am really excited about this accomplishment in Ally's life. She hasn't really asked for her paci or a new one. Now our next thing to work on is potty training. We'll see how she does.
Playing so hard
The last few days the girls have been playing pretty hard. We haven't gone anywhere, just stayed home. Ally has been really into coloring lately. Cosette has been trying very hard to get her hands on Allys crayons, so she can chew on them.

Our weekend fun
Easter Egg hunt
We have started a tradition of doing our egg hunt the Sunday after Easter. This way we can focus on Jesus and not candy. It seems to work well for us. We did the egg hunt yesterday and we had a great time. Ally got a few eggs. She was more interested in what everyone else was doing.
Playing dress up!

I want to be a big girl NOW!
Cosette wants so badly to do what Ally does. She gets frustrated when she can't just stand up and run after her sister. We keep telling her that she has to crawl before she can walk, but she wants nothing to do with it. She gets so mad that she just lays her head on the floor and cries. It is really cute. Cosette loves that she gets to sit in the high chair next to Ally and eat when Ally eats. This morning Ally and Cosette were playing on the floor when I brought along a bowl of cheerios. Ally started eating them and shared them with her sister. Cosette was SO excited. She ended up eating all but a few of the cheerios that had made it into Ally's mouth. She is a super fast eater. Definetely loves food. Last night we were at my moms house and Cosette somehow reached out and grabbed a bowl of m&ms. We thought we had got them all from her when I noticed her little gums munching together. Sure enough, she got one and slyly got it in her mouth without us knowing. She loved it.
Dr. Seuss
Yesterday Matt took the day off so he could work on a group project. His project only lasted until 3pm, so we thought we'd take the girls to see Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears a Who . It was a good movie, although it could have done without a few words. I am still amazed at how they let things slip into G rated movies. This was before the movie started. The girls were great for the movie. Ally sat and watched the movie and commented on it several times. There were only 3 other groups of people in there, so her talking was no big deal. Cosette did have a moment of I need different scenery, so we went and got a refill on our sprite. So since we had a good experience, we will definetely be bringing them back in the fall when Tinkerbell comes out.

Easter
We had a nice Easter. We went up to Matt's parents house on Saturday night and went to church with them on Sunday. Sunday was full of church, family, playing with toys, and having Ally do a mock egg hunt. Next Sunday, is THE egg hunt with my family. I went out this morning and bought LOTS of candy. I like that we separate Easter from the egg hunt. Hopefully this will help the girls understand that we don't celebrate Easter because of the Easter Bunny.
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Congrats Matt!
I just wanted to tell Matt we are super excited for you. Matt just got an internship at the VA in the executive offices. He is really excited and so am I. He is going to start sometime in April. We are starting to see an end to school. Matt will have this internship this summer, 2 semesters of school left, and hopefully this internship will turn into a job.

sisterly fun
The girls love each other SO much.
I've decided I need to get as many pictures now, while I can. Just in case things change between them.
Ally and Papaw.
