August 18

State fair
Ben went with Grandma and Grandpa and when Matt and Ally were done with work/school we met up with them.  The kids were TIRED.  Ally fell asleep on the way home.  I think everyone had fun.  It was just SO humid, it was hard to think about eating.
You have to be 5 to fish, so Ben wasn't able to participate.

Here is her day 7 of school picture, since I forgot to get one that morning.

Day 6 of school
I decided to drive Ally to school, since the kids and I were needing to go to the store in search of a pacifier for Josey.
We did our before school picture in the garage.  (I know, picture in front of the trash can and now picture in the garage).

We'll see how she likes this one.  I decided if she doesn't like it, then I'm not buying anymore.
Always trying to get to the food.
Loving on Baby Jo (that's what Ben calls her).

August 16

Lucy's cute, even with her eyes shut.
 Can you tell Josey's grown?
 Waiting to go to school.
This is how Lucy prefers to walk around the house.
I didn't think I'd end up with a kid attached to something other than a pacifier.  The first 3 were attached to the bottle and pacifier.  Lucy is glued to her fingers and a silky blanket (luckily we have 4 of this kind of blanket).
 Leaving for school- Day 5
This little girl is so finicky, it makes me a bit crazy sometimes.  But she is so sweet and pretty much still sleeps all day.  She's a great snuggler and like the rest of them is very head strong and determined.
After taking Ally to school, we went to the orchard and picked some apples and got cider slushies.  Then came home and played outside.  I was able to cut down some weeds while these 2 buddies played in the sandbox.

Before school.
Pay attention to the pretty girl and not the stuff behind her!

 After school

Miss Jo is 4 weeks old.  She's still little, but I can tell she's grown quite a bit in the last few weeks.  Everyday she gets to take a walk in the baby bjorn and every week I can tell she's gotten a bit bigger.
 Dinner.
WARNING: unless you are up for giving 2 kids a bath, do not feed them muffins or bread that might be easy to crumble.  Don't say I never warned you.  We had chocolate chip muffins last night and I think Lucy smeared more on her than she put in her. After dinner, we went ahead and had our treat for family home evening.  We had snickers and jr. mints.  Lucy though only had junior mints because I didn't think she'd appreciate the snickers enough!

She even managed to get the chocolate and bread on the back of her head, neck and back.  She was just making sure she got to take a bath last night.

August 14

This is the dress that Aunt Kate made for Sette, for Kim and Phil's wedding.  She made a matching one for Ally, so next year, Lucy and Josey will be able to wear them.

Ally wore this dress for her 3 day old pictures.  Josey is 4 weeks old here.  Ally had already gotten too big for it by this age.

August 13

We went up north for Pete's 1st birthday.  Guess what?  This is the ONLY picture we took.  It was a super fast trip.  We got home in time to meet my mom at the house, leave the kids with her and get to a birthday party of one of our friends.  The weekend flew by.

August 12

On our way to school this morning, we had minivans stopping and asking about her dress.  She was getting all sorts of compliments.  Thanks Grandma Horn for such an awesome dress.
If Ally likes it, Lucy now likes it.
Sidenote:  The 3 kids and I went shopping today after we got Ally to school.  It's a bit difficult, but in case of emergency, it could be done, I GUESS.

August 11

2nd day of school
She's still LOVING it.
Ben is now asking if he can go to school.  Sorry dude, this mommy isn't quite ready to let you go quite yet.
 sleepy/stinky baby
 Awake/clean baby
It's much easier to give her a bath once the other kids are in bed.  Too many helping hands with her bath just makes for a traumatic experience.

August 10

Ally started her first day of all day kindergarten, today.
She was excited, to say the least.

Matt went into work late, so he could walk to school with us on Ally's first day.
When we got home from taking Ally to school, since it was still cool outside, we played outside for a little bit.  Then headed to the orchard to get more apples and of course cider slushies.

He was wanting to dump his shovel of dirt on the porch.  I'm glad I was out there to stop that.
After school: she was still just as happy as when we dropped her off, just VERY tired.
She had lots of fun and can't wait to go back.
Josey took a 3 hour nap tonight.  It was perfect timing, so we could get the other 3 off to bed.
