Another Ally comment
I was looking at a blog and they had a few pictures of their dog on it. Ally came over and said "that little brown dog is so cute". Then she proceeded with "I want a sweet brown dog that is cute". We keep telling her that when we buy a house, we can get a dog. She and Matt are both looking forward to getting a house for that reason.

That's something to look forward to!! That's how we did it too! As soon as we bought our house in Indy we picked up Louis, our basset hound.
He was just 2 months old! After signing our lives away at closing we went straight over and picked him up, put him in the backyard of our new house and went to pickup the kids from the sitter's, so when they walked into the house for the first time there was a little puppy waiting for them in the backyard. He's definitely not a puppy any more but we love him just the same! :)
Do you know what kind of dog it's going to be? I remember we chose Louis because he wasn't going to be so big that he would be trampling over the kids but he wouldn't be too small either so that we wouldn't accidentally step on him and our kids can tend to rough house. An itty bitty dog wouldn't stand a chance in our house!
