June 11- PBS Kids Day and everything else

Ben and Ally really enjoy PBS, so I thought they might enjoy going to this.  Matt and I decided probably within the first 5 minutes that this would be our first and last time going.  It was a mad house.  The lines to see characters was worse than the lines at Disney World.  The characters either stood there or sat there and you were just suppose to pose with them and move on.  At Disney World you get to interact and have a conversation with the characters, which makes it awesome for kids.  Ben was afraid to go near Sid the Science Kid (who we watch EVERY single day).
We watch Arthur M-Th (because he's not on on F).
Obviously Arthur didn't seem as scary as Sid.
I love Ben's outfit.  I'm starting to really enjoy dressing him as he gets older.  The clothes get a bit more fun than the baby boy clothes.
And I have to say I LOVE LOVE Ally's dress that she's been wearing since 2007.
After seeing Arthur, we shared some cotton candy, got a sno-cone to share and started our walk back to the car.
Matt and I really miss walks on the canal.  It's just not the same with a bunch of crazy kids.
We drove home, grabbed swim suits and headed over to our neighborhood pool party.  We had a fun little time there, eating, swimming and meeting neighbors.  The kids were pooped.  Then we came home and ALL took naps.  Then went to Subway, dropped the kids off with Grandma, and Matt and I went grocery/birthday shopping.  Then home to take showers and put the kids to bed.  Matt got his hairs cut, we picked up the house (it was SOO trashed) and relaxed with a bowl of ice cream in front of the TV.

Oh and we had GREAT weather compared to the temps we've already had.  It was nice to have June temps instead of August.

We went to the PBS thing yesterday too. I was really surprised by the lines. Yeah...I don't think we'll be going back either.
