Today was filled with fun.
Miss Josey snoozin on the couch.
My big girls ready to go to the fair.
Our house is quiet (most of the time) between the hours of 7:30pm-7am and then for 2 hours during naptime. The rest of the day it is LOUD and crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Today was opening day for the state fair. Remember we LOVE the state fair.
We had never checked out the kid area at the fair and I am not sure why we waited so long, it's cool. The kids enjoyed participating in the activities they had and they were perfect for Ben and Ally.
We had to let him check out the tractors (since we wouldn't let him ride the fair tram).
Check out how Ben is sitting on the lawn mower. Love his little legs crossed.
They get along really well most of the time.
We stayed for quite a while tonight, which made for a long day for Matt and I. It was worth it though. The kids had fun and will probably (hopefully) sleep really well tonight.
Miss Josey did well for her first trip to the fair. I had to nurse her twice. Lucky for her she has a mom that is a PRO at nursing while walking and is completely comfortable nursing in public. They have lactation stations, but they aren't around when I need one. So Josey and I found a picnic shelter that was empty for the most part and she got to eat. When Matt and the kids got done in the kids area, we started walking again. Josey must've been hungry because she wanted fed again, so while we walked, I nursed her.
Lucy Goose was pretty much awesome in the stroller. She just sat there and took it all in. I think she might have complained once, but got over whatever was bugging her. She figured out how to open a nutri grain bar all by herself (watch out, she's trouble) while sitting in the stroller. She enjoyed seeing all the animals and making their sounds. She enjoyed the food.
Ben did well, considering he is 2 and a very active boy. He also enjoyed the animals. I think the sheep were his favorite.
Ally had fun visiting everything and can't wait to go back to see the things that were closed. She too enjoys the food and the animals. She had fun asking a MILLION questions about everything we saw. I tried to be patient and answer her questions.
Yeah for a fun, successful visit to the fair.
