Always on the go

If an item has a strap or a string on it, Ben will attempt to put it on. Most times he'll keep trying until he gets it around his neck. I'm not quite sure how he got this bag on him, but he did it all by himself.

Buttons, buttons, buttons. If there are buttons to be pushed, he will find them and push them. He likes the keyboard, mouse, cordless phone, cell phones and especially remotes (that he has seen us use, otherwise it's just a pointless remote that we don't care about and he wants nothing to do with those).
Oooooo. We're working on what we're suppose to look like when blowing out a candle.

Trouble

Lots of trouble. If things are picked up and put away, that's just not right for Ben. He will go and empty out the 'need to be shredded' bucket, pull down all the books on the bookshelf, empty the toy basket in the family room, take the dvd's off the shelf, and start pulling all the food off of the shelves. I try SO hard to keep up with him and it is just SO exhausting. I want my house to be picked up and he just DOESN'T.

He is so sweet. If you say "kiss" he'll come over to you and open his mouth. He has no problem giving out kisses. Most of the time he doesn't even mind kissing Ally.

Especially if he thinks he can get his hands on something she's holding while kissing!

In primary, I asked the kids to listen to the talks given by President Monson and either draw me a picture or write down 1 thing they learned from him. Ally would listen for a few seconds and then draw something he said that she knew how to draw. It was quite cute.

While sister watched President Monson, Ben walked the loop in the house, just giggling. I think he was trying to make me think he was up to something, even though he wasn't.

He enjoys playing with the Leap Frog fridge magnet. He'll push the buttons to get the music to start and will dance along.

Ben loves looking out the door or window. I've come to the realization that for the next 10 or so years, my windows will show that sweet little fingers and mouths live inside them. I like having nice clean windows and doors, but it's also nice to see the sweet finger prints and mouth spots all over them.

I was trying to get the kids upstairs to take a shower and Ally was still finishing her french fries from dinner. Ben can't let someone not share their food with him.

Fun Spring Day

The kids and I have been spending a lot more time outside and it's fabulous. Except for minor things like, Ben tries to eat rocks, dirt, grass, bugs, leaves, sticks, and always goes straight for the street. He loves going outside and exploring.

Ally got squeeze-its from her Great Grandma and I told her she can only drink them outside because I don't want them staining anything inside if she spills.

Ben

Only enjoys biting mommy.
Only enjoys pulling his sisters hair.
Only laughs the way he does when he wrestles with daddy.

Last night he wouldn't stop biting me. My elbow, wrists, knuckles, and fingers. He'd get made when I'd try to stop him. I haven't felt any new teeth in there, so I don't think he's teething. I guess on the bright side, I'm the only one he wants to bite. Cosette was the same way, only wanted to bite mommy.

He knows he is bugging Ally when he gives her hair a good yank. Ally takes it all in stride and is a good sport in understanding that we need to teach him that it's not nice to pull hair. After he's attacked her hair and she sees just how much he pulled out, then she gets upset. The girl doesn't have very thick hair as it is and then with a brother that is trying to remove the rest of it, it's not easy.

I try to wrestle with Ben, as does Ally. It's just not the same. He loves wrestling with daddy. Last night I kept him up way past his bedtime, just so he could have some wrestle time with daddy. Ally and I just don't get the same laugh/giggle out of him that he lets out for Matt.

Fun weekend

Ally wasn't too sure about the power wheels. She's not one for doing things she's not in control of completely. She was quite unsure about the power wheels and the speed. When she rides her bike, she goes slow because she doesn't like to go fast.

Easter Egg Hunt #1- Outside at the Great grandparents

After the outside egg hunt, we had lunch and then a little indoor egg hunt.

Then we had to drive home. Ben got to have his car seat turned around and loves it.

Another milestone

I think it's safe to say that Benson is officially walking. He's 2 months later than Cosette and about a month later than Ally, but he's walking. It seemed to happen so fast. He's been taking steps here and there and then this weekend he just decided to do it. It's been quite fun watching him wobble around on his skinny legs and chubby feet. Last night at my mom's house he was trying to climb up a bar stool. More fun things ahead for this little guy and more work for mommy.

Our fun little boy that is trying to see how long he can take to get up the courage to just walk. He will take 4-10 steps, then decide he'd rather crawl. The girls were walking/running by this age and I really thought he would've been too. All kids are different and Ben is here to prove that.

He wasn't too sure about being up there, he's a bit of a chicken when it comes to climbing things, other than the stairs. The stairs at home, he can climb super fast up and is getting pretty good at going back down. If it was up to him, he'd spend all day climbing up and down the stairs.
