Fun Fun

Last night before putting the kids to bed. We have fabulous kids. Lately Ben's been ready for bed by 7pm. He's such a great little sleeper. Ally has been doing great at sleeping through the night as well. Lucy does pretty well at sleeping, she just makes noises that scare me during the night. So then I end up waking her up thinking there's something wrong, when really she's just a noisy sleeper.
This morning I told the kids we'd go to the park and then to the library. It was SOO nice outside. I'm glad we took the opportunity to go to the park and were able to enjoy such a beautiful morning.

This is how Lucy enjoyed the park, from the comfort of her carseat, in the stroller.
Ben had LOTS of fun to say the least.

Right after we got to the park, another family showed up and Ally had fun playing with the girl her age. After the park, we went to the library to turn in our summer reading charts. The kids each got t-shirts, books, and restaurant coupons.

Ally 4 years

With all the craziness that was our June, I never got around to this.
Ally 2 months
1 year

4 years
Ally we love you so much. You are a great daughter and bring so much excitement to our family. You always have a story to tell. You are a great listener and a fabulous big sister. I KNOW you miss your sister, but I also KNOW you will get to see her again. You are sisters forever and there's nothing that's going to change that. You are a free spirit and love life. You love learning new things and meeting new people. I love you sweet girl!

Cute kids

These kids LOVE each other so much. Yeah, they bug each other quite a bit, but that's part of being siblings. Ally adores her brother and sister. Ben goes crazy when his sisters are sleeping. Lucy just loves the attention, well most of the time.

Happy Birthday Trent and early birthday Matt and Tara

Yesterday we did 3 birthdays. It was kind of nice to get 3 done at once and know that we have 1 left for the year.

Ben kissing his reflection. This is a perfect example as to why NONE of my windows are clean. Well at least the ones that Ben and Ally can reach.
It's always nice having little hands helping you open your presents.
A book Matt's been asking for because he loaned his out and never got it back.
Sunglasses
Ben showing some love to daddys flashlight.
Covers for golf clubs
Sleeping Beauty
He was getting SO tired and he still had an hour till bedtime.
last present..what could it be?
He's holding it upside down. He got this artwork when he graduated and had asked that someone frame it for him.
Getting ready to blow out the candles.
Can you tell how smoky it was? Thats what 29 candles will do to a room. We had to move inside because the rain started blowing in from both sides of the porch. Who wants wet cake?
We had cheesecake with fruit, ice cream cake (Matt's) and a brownie/pudding/fruit thingy. Yum Yum!

Benson's 2nd haircut

Silly sister.
Story: So the other day I had finally had it with Ben's hair. It was getting so long it was in his eyes and the back was quite curly. Since it's been SO hot I just couldn't bear to see him with the long hair that I really loved. He was so cute with his curls in the back. Oh I LOVED it, but I really wanted him to be more comfortable. So I cut it, myself. I also couldn't see spending $12 to get his haircut, there wasn't much there. For being a restless 1 year old all boy, he sat pretty still for me.
See his long curls.
This reminds me of Sette, just a blonde version!
The new and improved, Benson!
I need to work on cutting bangs, so they don't look dorky. I figure since he's only 1 I have plenty of time to work on improving that and screwing up on haircuts before he really notices.
What better way to clean off after a haircut than by playing in the hose, NAKED. He absolutely loves the hose and would probably play in it all day if we let him.

This is what Lucy did while Ben got his haircut and the kids played in the hose. She layed down and looked around. She has 2 very awake points in the day. Normally from 8-10am she's awake and then again from 4-7pm. She doesn't always stick to this, but for the most part she does. She wakes up for little bits here and there the rest of the day, but just to let me know she wants to eat and then she sleeps while doing that.

Busy

If you've run into me or talked to me recently and I seemed a little preoccupied, this is why. Our weekend consisted of my brothers court of honor Friday night, Ally's friend party Saturday, Lucy's blessing Sunday and Ally's family party Sunday after the blessing. It was lots of fun, with lots of family in town, but I am so glad it's over. I hate being busy. If I had things my way, I would have nothing on the calendar and life would be great for me. But with a calling and family, that's not possible. Every weekend this month we have something going on and we are half way through the month. I think I still have pregnancy brain because I can't seem to focus and hold a decent conversation lately. I will apologize now if you are talking to me and it seems like i'm not listening. Really I am listening, but it might not be registering!
