Another Ally comment

I was looking at a blog and they had a few pictures of their dog on it. Ally came over and said "that little brown dog is so cute". Then she proceeded with "I want a sweet brown dog that is cute". We keep telling her that when we buy a house, we can get a dog. She and Matt are both looking forward to getting a house for that reason.

Childrens Museum...random pictures

The other day Matt took the whole day off and we went to the Childrens Museum and out to lunch and dinner. We had a great day spending it all with Matt.
Ally and daddy riding the carousel
Ignore Matts face and look at Allys funny smile!
Ally using a wheelbarrow
Matt driving a construction vehicle (I don't know what this is called)
Ally and daddy
Say "Cheese". Ally is very into taking pictures, even though she has a pretend camera.
Look at how big her feet are compared with mine. She is now wearing a 10 1/2 and she is 2 1/2. I don't want to think how big they'll be in 2 more years.
Oh Big NEWS!!
Last night Ally pooped on the potty! Some of you could care less and others might be excited to know. We've been working on the pooping thing for quite some time and I was so excited last night when she finally went on the toilet.

News

Matt got the call we've been waiting 11 weeks for. The coroner called and told him the results. They found absolutely nothing wrong with my perfect little girl. They found no reason why she died. So she didn't have anything wrong that we didn't know about. This really makes me believe that Heavenly Father wanted/needed her home. The coroner's first guess as to what happened was that she aspirated, so I guess that's what happened.
My little girl was/is perfect.

Funny Ally

After Ally's nap yesterday I told her we needed to go to Wal-Mart to get 2 things and then we were going to get drinks at Sonic. She was fine with both of these, so off we went. As we pulled into the Wal-Mart parking lot, she burst into tears. She kept saying she didn't want to go to this store. Normally Ally LOVES going to the store, especially Wal-Mart. After I got her settled down, she informed me that she was going to stay in the car while I went in. Umm...NO! I will get into big trouble if I leave you in the car. The rest of the 5 minute trip into the store was ridiculous. I didn't get a cart because I knew if I did, then we'd definetely be leaving with more than the 2 items I needed. So Ally got to walk, which I thought she'd enjoy. Nope, she was super mad that she didn't have a cart. I had to try to explain to her at least 10 times why I couldn't carry her and the gallon of orange juice at the same time. Maybe when theres not a baby in the way I could do it, but not right now. So she walked with me and cried the whole time. I had given her a sucker before we went into the store and she held onto her sucker until we got to the check out. Then she decided to eat her sucker WHILE SHE WAS CRYING. Who eats a sucker and cries at the same time? Silly girl. Once we got to the car, she was totally fine. After the drive-thru at Sonic, she started crying because she thought we were getting milkshakes. No, we don't go to Sonic and get milkshakes, we get limeades and ice. Eventually she was fine with the ice, but it took a lot of coaxing. Hopefully these silly fits will leave our house soon.
I just found it funny that she said she'd stay in the car. I've never left her in the car to go into the store (unless a big person is in there with her). Who knows where she got that from.

Valentines Day

Matt got Ally and I flowers. Aren't they pretty? Thanks for the flowers Matt.

A hairy Sunday

So this snake-like braid has been sitting somewhere in my brain for a very long time. Yesterday I decided I was going to try it out. I've also been wanting to try the ribbon in the braid for a while. I thought it turned out cute, but I'm not sure if I'll do the snake braid again, or not.

Great Grandma Horn got Ally this dress.
this is the "after" picture, when I take out her braids. this morning she still had a little bit of crimp to her hair, but not much. this is the biggest you'll ever see her hair and it doesn't last long.

Happy Valentines Day!

Ever since Cosette left us, I have referred to her as Cosette. Before she passed, we ALWAYS referred to her as Sette and I would call her bug several times a day. When Cosette was around 10/11 months old, she was bugging Ally. Ally kept coming to me saying Sette bug me. That's when I started calling her bug. As Cosette got a little older and could communicate more, she'd let me know when Ally was bugging her. So Ally was then called my big bug and Sette was my little bug. Now I call Ally my bug and every so often she tells me that Sette is bug, not her.
I love my girls and all that they taught me when they were here together. Ally has since taught me many things and I am so grateful that she has helped me cope with all that has happened. Ally is so funny and such a joy to have in our family. The farther I get in this pregnancy, the more I realize that this little guy will be a lot like his sisters. The girls are both very independent, determined, stubborn, cuddly (but in very different ways), funny, smart, and energetic. Benson is beating up on my body, very much like Cosette did, but times 2. He likes to push up, so that it is extremely hard for me to breath, then he likes to push on my bladder-so that I have to run for the bathroom. I love my children and am so thankful for each of them. They are all so different, but yet have lots of similarities. Ally and Cosette were very different, but had a lot in common when you started to really watch them. I miss that Cosette like to have a schedule, naptimes and bedtimes were important to her. She slept in till 7, sometimes 8. Ally on the other hand, is more go with the flow and will sleep whenever I lay her down. She wakes up early every morning-this morning she was wide awake at 5:25am. Anyways, I miss having my girls together and can't wait for the day they get to be together again. If you can't tell, today I'm a bit emotional-probably a bit of pregnancy hormones, mixed with missing Cosette.
For Valentines Matt got Ally and I tulips. I think this is the 2 time he has gotten me flowers since we were married. He doesn't think they are too worth it, but I LOVE getting them and knew it took a lot for him to order them. Thanks for the beautiful flowers Matt, I love you. I'll have to take a picture of them. He did a great job ordering them. Right now he is playing football with some guys from church.
Yesterday I had my 30 week appt and asked him how the baby is measuring and he replied, "a bit bigger than normal". I then said, "well the other 2 were that way, so he's right on track with them." I am hoping for April 5, even though my due date isn't until the end of April. My sister had a dream that I had him that day, so I decided I want to try for that day, I'll bring that up to the doctor at another appt.
Have a great Valentines Day!

Pregnancy marbles

Ally, Tiffney and I were shopping today and were on our way out to the van. I started walking one way and Tiff and Ally another. She asked me where I was going and I said to the van. She said, "its right here". I told her that wasn't my van and she said it was and I said no its not. Then I looked at it again and again and decided that it WAS my van. As I was putting Ally in her carseat I told her that mommy was losing her marbles. She pointed to the cart return next to the van and said, my marbles are over there. Then she said she needed to pick them up. This then turned into mommy dropped her marbles. I totally have to agree with her. I feel like I drop my marbles at least twice a day. Pregnancy is really getting to me.

2 days of 60 degree weather

On days like these, I feel like a rotten mom if I don't get the kids outside. So Ally and I played in the backyard one day (she's been wanting to ride her bikes all winter and was finally able to) and she was thrilled. Yesterday we went to the park, which she's also been asking to do. She had a great time. She's been wanting to blow bubbles and I really don't like to do it in the house, so Monday was the perfect day to blow bubbles.

I've been REALLY nesting lately and I'm starting to drive myself crazy. I had Matt rearrange Ally's room the other day and decided I didn't like where a few things were yesterday, so I moved them. I just about have everything washed for Benson that I have. Things are folded perfectly in his dresser and hung according to size and color. While I may be letting other things go lately (such as vacuuming) laundry is definetely getting done. I love laundry (probably because of the smells of the detergents and fabric softner. Oh how I love the smell of my towels right out of the dryer.
I think Ally is going through a growth spurt. 2 weeks ago I was still trying very hard to get her to eat at least one thing/day and now I have no problems getting her to eat whatever I put in front of her.

How'd my massage go?

The massage. was. perfect. If you are pregnant and have never gotten a professional massage, you absolutely have to go. I've gotten one with each pregnancy and it's done wonders. It was so nice, relaxing, and calming. I feel great and will be back in there in a few weeks.

Massage

I am going to get a massage tonight. I am WAY excited. This little guy is doing a number on my back. This pregnancy has been very different from the first two. I really think it's easier for me to carry girls vs boys. I'll let you know how my massage goes. Ally and Matt get to spend some time together tonight playing games while I get some time to myself.

Ally and Sleeping Beauty

Oh no, what happened to your forhead?
Don't let Snow White kiss you or you'll be stuck with lipstick on your forhead. I tried scrubbing it off Ally and it just made a HUGE smear mark.
Snow White spent so much time telling Ally about the 7 dwarfs. Ally has never seen Snow White, but recognized her from her disney shirts and underwear.
