Saturday morning fun

Ally is the typical girl, she loves to dress up, especially when she has a good twirling dress on. Aunt Kate made this for Ally and it looks super comfortable.
When she walks, she holds onto it and spins it around.
Can you see she has on her dress up shoes.
She also loves to wear hats.
We had a few visitors after breakfast. Woody and Jessie stopped by. Ally loves Toy Story and has so much fun with these two.
Cosette standing on her own.
She is so happy, but has such an attitude.

What happens when you notice it is quiet...

I had left the girls in the living room playing with the ball popper. Just as I was finishing the dishes I noticed just how quiet it was, so I frantically went running to find out what they were up to. Ally is fine if I give her a bag of goldfish, but she tends to set it down within Cosettes reach. Cosette always dumps food off of her plate or out of the bowl, so I wasn't surprised when Ally told me that Cosette dumped the goldfish. After they dumped them, I guess they couldn't help themselves and stepped on them too. At least it wasn't something hard to clean up like sugar.
Cosette was so proud of herself.

We were gone all weekend at my in laws and so I have been doing laundry all morning. The girls have been very good at entertaining themselves. I looked over a minute ago to make sure they weren't up to trouble and well...one of them was. Cosette had climbed into the baby rocking chair and was standing up looking out the window. So I took her down, thinking that Ally had helped her up. Just as I sat her down, she pulled herself back up to the rocking chair and climbed in, and stood up. So I removed the chair from the room and now she is climbing over boxes, her sister, big toys, whatever she can find she can climb onto/over. My little brother was climbing onto the kitchen table, kitchen counter, dressers before he walked. I guess it's possible to climb before walking, I just wish it wasn't happening. Ally doesn't even climb as much as Cosette.
Anyways..we had a great weekend with lots of food, homemade ice cream, Matt made a few fires for us to hang out next to, the girls played outside a lot, went to church, and had a great time with family. Soon we are going to be taking our family vacation/attending Kims wedding and we couldn't be more excited. I have even made a chain to help Ally understand when we are leaving (this is probably more for Matt and I to see how little time we have left to get everything ready).

Video # 1 of Tahnee's graduation

Warning, turn down your volume. Whenever they played music, it was extremely loud, that way those with some hearing could hear it or those that could not hear it could at least feel it. My sister is signing a song with 4 boys. She's in the middle.

Sorry this one is really dark.

Tahnee's Graduation

My sister Tahnee graduated today from the Indiana School for the Deaf.
The pictures are in no order whatsoever. The top picture and the one below are from the end when they all went on stage and threw off their caps.

Of messes and museums

We've had a busy past week. This past weekend my sister in law had a bridal shower so the girls and I went to that. I got to be in charge of games. I had lots of fun finding games to play. Last Wednesday my sister went to the childrens museum with us. It is so much easier to go when I have someone else to help out. On Tuesday we (the girls and I) met my mother in law, sister in law, and her fiance Phil, at Qdoba for lunch. From there Kim and Phil went to the State museum and Jackie came with us to the Childrens museum. I don't think we'll ever get tired of going to the museum. Yesterday, we went with our play group to the zoo. That was a lot of fun. So when I say that it is 1:30 and I am still in my pjs, maybe you'll understand. I plan on getting dressed before Matt comes home, but until then I will be very comfy. Ally, Cosette and I made a chain to count down the days until we leave for vacation. I wasn't aware that it was so soon. I am going to start packing next week with hopes of not forgetting anything, if I plan ahead. This weekend we are going to the in laws for the weekend, and I heard there's going to be homemade ice cream. I am super excited.
Okay, on to other things...do you ever wake up and realize your kids are in bed with you and you don't remember them coming in bed or you putting them in there with you? This has happened one too many times in the last week. I'm not quite sure what to do as this is happening during the night and I am trying to sleep. We have tried shutting Ally's door, but then she lays behind the door and screams under it. This gets annoying very fast at 2 am. Cosette got moved back to our room, but in her own bed. She wakes up usually 2-5 times during the night. I've noticed that when I am asleep and she wakes up, even making a little noise, I pick her up out of habit. I need to do a sleep overhaul at our house. The girls don't take too many naps during the day, they aren't super long naps, and they aren't close to bed time. Hmmm...I'll let you know how things go.
Oh yeah, I got called to be in the nursery at church. I guess that's what I get for enjoying relief society (when I was in there). Usually Cosette and I ended up in the hall because she would be making too much noise.
So my girls LOVE to make messes. I guess this mess was my fault. I gave Cosette 1/2 an oreo and Ally 1 oreo. They love them, but make such a mess.

Pictures from last weekend

Ally loves to put clothes on. I mean she will put 3 or 4 outfits on at a time. I think in this picture she had on 3 or 4 bottoms and 3 shirts plus a dress.
She is such a happy baby.

Graduation pictures...

Matt, waiting in line. I unfortunately missed him getting his diploma. I was in the hall and in the restroom during this entire time. I got back in there to see the last 3 names called. Cosette was needing to be fed and Ally needed to run. Thanks Kim for hanging out with Ally.
Our happy graduate. 1 more year.
Our little family.
Matt and his girls.
Matt and his parents.
Matt and his wife. I think for next year, I need to either find some really tall shoes, find a stool for our picture, or cut him off at the knees. I am convinced I am either getting shorter or he is still growing (is that really possible that he could still be growing?) Matt has grown at least 2 inches since we got married 3 1/2 years ago. OH YEAH I AM ON MY TIP TOES IN THIS PICTURE!
Mommy and the girls during the SPEA ceremony.
Cosette wasn't feeling the greatest. Those darn teeth.
"Mommy, I am going to bite your chin". And she did. And it hurt.

Enchanted dresses

I want to start by saying that Matt loves to watch movies. He really likes to go to the movie theater, but since having Ally, I have really not liked going to the theater (I am not sure why). We haven't seen many movies at the theater for this reason. The other night we discovered how awesome red box is. We rented Enchanted and really enjoyed it. Last night we rented 27 dresses and I really liked it. Does anyone have any suggestions on other good movies?

Graduation & Mothers Day

Okay, so the one and only picture I got with my camera turned out awful. You can see Matt though. It was so nice being able to spot him above everyone else. Matts dad got pictures so when we get a copy of them, I'll share. Just one more year babe. We are so proud of you.
We also celebrated Mothers Day yesterday, after graduation. We had planned a bbq at our house, but ended up moving it to my moms because of the rain. We had a great time and lots of yummy food. Happy late mothers day to everyone.

We took the plunge...

We bought a van.
And we love it.
We traded in our Jeep for a van. I am so glad we were able to move up to a van. It has a dvd player, so Ally loves it. It has heated seats so mommy and daddy love it. It also has 7 seats, so those of you that need a ride will love it.
I am going to miss you, jeep. You were totally awesome at flying over and through pot holes and construction. I never worried about big bumps coming up because I knew you could handle it. You will be missed for a few of the qualities you possessed.

Sleep

We were having a huge problem with sleeping during the night at our house. The girls are (were) in the same room, so when one of them wakes up during the night it wakes up the other. I finally had had enough. I had Matt set up the pack n play in our room and Ally has slept through the night the past 2 nights. Oh it feels so nice not dealing with her at 1,2, 4, 5 am. She can be a handful during the day, but even moreso during the night. I have been putting her in her bed and saying good night and shutting her door. She cries for a few minutes and goes to sleep. I've been doing the same thing with Cosette except it takes her a whole lot longer to stop crying and go to sleep. She still wakes up during the night wanting to eat. We'll work more on her sleeping at another time.

Funny story:
Last night Matt was grilling chicken on the bbq and Ally asked where he was. I told her that daddy was outside cooking the chicken. She looked at me and put her hands in her armpits and moved them up and down as she said "bock bock". Yep, that's what daddy is cooking.

Good Luck daddy!
