Cosette Rae Horn
Born at 1:05pm on August 24, 2007
Labor was a piece of cake. I started pushing at 1:01 and out she came 4 minutes later. It was one contraction that brought her out. She is a great baby and sleeps so well at night. The first night home she slept 7 hours! Ally adores her and is trying to learn how to play nicely with her.
We took this right before we left the hospital. Matt and Ally had come to pick Cosette and I up from the hospital after they got done at church. Ally fell asleep on the way and stayed asleep until we got down to the car.
Ally is good at giving her sister kisses and pointing out that she has eyes, nose, fingers, mouth, toes and hair.

Today is my mom's 45th birthday. My brothers, Ally, my mom, and I went out to dinner at Red Robin. None of us had ever eaten there before. It was SO good. I would totally recommend it to any burger/fry lover. Their burgers are HUGE, so you could share with someone. They have bottomless french fries that are pretty tasty. My brother informed our waiter that it was my mom's birthday, so they came out and sang to her and she got a sundae. She was embarrassed. We had a great time at dinner. I was told not to eat or drink anything after midnight. So that really stinks because I am ready for breakfast at 7am. This baby better come fast or I might end up chewing off one of my arms!
Yesterday Ally played dress up in her Halloween costume from last year. It is a little small, but fits her better now than it did at Halloween. She is still super cute in it. Ally thought it was so fun to run around the house dressed up and loved looking in the mirror.

Sunday dress
Eating ice after church. Ally and I absolutely LOVE to eat ice. It is so yummy!
Thanks Aunt Kim for the dress and shirts.
Okay, we just got back from the doctor. Here's the news...I am 4/5 cm dialated and 80% effaced. I am going to get induced in the morning and hopefully we'll have the baby sometime tomorrow. We are oh so excited about meeting this new baby. We will keep you updated on everything that happens tomorrow.

So I posted these all in the wrong order. If you want to start from the beginning, scroll down and go up from there.
Ally was so tired after the zoo, gardens, and dinner that she fell asleep in the car when we had less than 5 minutes till home. Unfortunately she didn't stay here all night. She woke up after 2 1/2 hours and was ready to play and eat a snack.
Zoo
Yesterday Matt's parents came down to visit and we went to the zoo and the white river gardens. It was lots of fun and the weather couldn't have been better. Well it could have been a few degrees cooler, but I'm 9 1/2 months pregnant so what do I know.
This is the back of Trent, Matt, and Ally.
Watching the sea lions.

the 2 sea lions. They were getting fed.
Ally and Gramma checking out the jelly fish.
White River Gardens
Ally was reaching for the butterfly and it moved and scared her.

Matt and Ally walking around the gardens. I think it is so pretty out there.

Last night we were hanging out at my mom's house and my mom and I were talking and all of a sudden, I realized it was very quiet and I didn't see or hear Ally. This is where we found her. She was watching Robin Hood Men in Tights with Trent.
Playing outside..yesterday.
cleaning the patio
watering the grass
watering/cleaning her slide
watering her castle
The State Fair...Wednesday.
Matt, Ally, and the cows. Ally LOVED the cows. She didn't have a bad experience with them like she did with the sheep. She can't say moo yet, but she says boo. So instead of mooing at the cows, she was booing at them! It was quite cute.
This cow was just about as tall as me and it was still on all 4's.
Well that's all the pictures we have for the state fair this year. I once again, forgot to take more pictures. Maybe next year will be a more successful picture taking state fair adventure for us.

I just got back from the doctor. I was so glad he had some good news for me. I am 3 cm dialated and 60% effaced. I was worried that he was going to tell me that I was still in the negatives. If I haven't gone into labor by next Friday, then we are going to go ahead and induce Friday. YEAH!! My mom is hoping I have the baby on the 23rd, because that's her birthday. I told her I am not promising anything. She is wanting to take me out on a BIG walk/hike on Wednesday, so the baby will come on Thursday. Anyways, I am just glad that everything is going well with the pregnancy.

Okay so I didn't do a very good job at taking lots of pictures at the State Fair. Here are a few...don't worry I am going again this week and will try to take more pictures. We went to the fair with Matt's parents and sister. We had a great time.
This sheep scared Ally. She was sitting in her stroller next to him/her and looked away and the sheep had it's face close to Ally's face and it baaaad right in her ear. She burst into tears and wanted out immediately.
If you look closely at Ally's face you can tell she had been crying and is VERY tired. Can't you just tell she is tired by looking at her. She did so well.
I got to eat some of the fair food I wanted to. I couldn't eat everything I wanted to because I would have made myself sick. I got to eat some tators, ice cream from the Dairy Bar, and a lemon shake-up.

Playing in the pool
Ally, Uncle Travis, and Aunt Tiffney.
We had lots of fun at the pool. We went in the evening so we could cool off from the hot day.
I can't wait until we can have a pool in our backyard. How fun will that be? Oh so fun.
Eating a cupcake and playing in the sprinkler..
This is how Ally plays in the sprinkler...she runs from it.
When the sprinkler is on, she prefers to play in the water squirting out of the hose.
She loves cupcakes.

Did you notice that I only have 3 weeks until my due date? I am getting soo excited. I informed our little watermelon today that it is okay for her to make her presence known now. She is considered to be full term today, so she should be a nice, SMALL, healthy, baby.
We are going to the state fair tonight and boy oh boy am I excited. I have been telling Ally how great the food is and how we only get to eat fair food twice every year (twice because we usually go twice so we don't have to eat everything in one day). We'll take lots of pictures so you can see just how great the food looks. Maybe I'll eat something that will make the baby want to come out! How exciting of a story would that be for me to tell people. I went into labor at the state fair! Really I don't think it'd be that cool, but maybe later as I am re-telling the story it would be.
This morning Ally, my mom, and I went and picked raspberries. Ally absolutely loves raspberries. She's even figured out that she is suppose to pick the red ones. I think she ended up eating more raspberries than ended up in our basket. Oh well, you're suppose to eat as you pick right? Then of course, we all had to get apple cider slushies. So, so good. Today is just a great day for me and food. First, raspberries and cider slushies and later fair food!

Just an update about my doctors appt. I had on Tuesday. Obviously it didn't go that well, since I am just now writing about it. I was thinking that they'd measure me and I'd be as big as I was with Ally ( I know I definitely feel huge). Nope, I am measuring at 34 weeks, that was like 2 1/2 weeks behind where I am. With Ally I was always at least 2 weeks ahead. Am I a little sad, yes. Why you ask? Because now I am thinking that when I go back next week they will say we can just wait it out since the baby isn't measuring as big as Ally. For those of you that have been pregnant, you know that when you get your mind set on something and have to change things, that it doesn't go over well with you. I am REALLY hoping we can still induce this baby next week. If not, I am going to be one very sad pregnant lady.
On a happier note, I went to Tyler Mason on Tuesday after my doctors appt. It was the best massage I have ever had, EVER. It was so nice. I think it helped that this lady (unlike the lady I had for my other 2 massages) was pregnant with her 2nd child. So she knew where your body normally aches when you're pregnant. She did such a good job I just about asked her to come stay at my house and massage me until the baby comes. But we don't have the money for that right now, maybe after Matt graduates (he's already told me no to a live in masseuse).
Ally has become my favorite comedian. She is SO funny. I'm not just saying that because I spend every second of everyday with her. She really is funny. She has gotten into telling me jokes (I don't understand them, but I laugh anyways). She loves to sing (once again, we have no idea what she is singing, but it's sweet). She sings to her dolls, toys, Matt and I, and anyone else who will listen.
Today we went and saw my friend (I used to babysit her daughter) and her new baby boy. He was very little compared to Ally at his age. He is 2 weeks old and weighs 8lbs. He was quite cute. Ally kept trying to pick him up by the front of his shirt, like she does with her dolls. She didn't seem to mind when I held him for 20 minutes (I was very relieved she was okay with it). Now if she will only be that way when we bring our baby home.

Ally now has 8 front teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom. She has 2 molars, one on each side of the bottom of her mouth. She definetly did a lot better with the 2nd molar. I didn't even realize she was teething until my mom said something.
Ally, my brother Travis, and I went and got apple cider slushies this afternoon. They were sooo good. Ally had hers gone before we got halfway home.
I am getting so excited to have this baby. I don't have that much longer. I feel like I could go any day now, even though I have 27 days until my due date.
We are still working with Ally on sleeping in her bed. The only problem I have run into is how to keep her in her bed. Any ideas? Once I get her to fall asleep in her bed, she sleeps well, it's just the issue of getting her to stay there long enough to fall asleep.

The Pool!
Aunt Tahnee and Ally
Ally loves the fountains!
Ally's big girl bed...almost.
We are starting her off with the mattress on the floor and once she gets used to that, then we'll put the bed together. She has found she can get out of this bed. She likes to play on it with her stuffed animals. When I ask her to go to her bed, she walks directly to her bed, it's super cute. When I put her in her bed and leave the room, she climbs right out and comes running to me. Then she takes my hand and leads me back to her bed and gets in bed. So she doesn't quite grasp that she needs to stay there, but we'll get there eventually.
