Another Josey funny

My kids are all about bugs (I HATE bugs, so I am thankful they will remove them for me).  We have a book that goes into detail about the different kinds of bugs and what they do.  Ben was reading about a bug this morning where the daddy bug eats the babies, if the mommy doesn't save them in time.  Then we talked about how there are bugs where the mommy eats the daddy bug.  Josey yells to me "Mommy, don't eat my daddy".  Don't worry Jo, mommy has NO intentions to eat daddy.

FYI

If you have to take a 1 hour glucola test, don't eat a plum and a peanut butter and honey sandwich an hour and a half before the test.  Doing so will result in you failing the 1 hour and returning for the 3 hour.  Luckily though I passed the test.

Also, if you are looking for a 2 yr old Houdini,  I have 1 you can borrow.  She is capable of climbing out of the crib, getting out of a sleep sack (that is tied tight, to prevent a way out, on inside out and backwards so she can't access the zipper), stacking Rubbermaid tubs on top of each other (then climbing up them), removing the floor vents and climbing in them, moving cribs (they are on carpet, not an easy task) and demolishing rooms in minutes.  Does she sound enticing?  Speaking of the little Houdini, I need to go check on her (she's suppose to be sleeping, but is making too much noise to be doing that).  If interested in trying her out, please leave a short comment.

Orchard

We love our many visits to the orchard.
We picked a 1/2 bushel of apples.  Not sure why I decided to pick so much, but now I get to be creative with them and the kids can eat them as freely as they want.
The girls and I decided to wait until Ben was done at school, so he could come with us.

She kept telling me this was a "Josey rock".

 I love my boy.

Sweet Ally and emotional mommy

This is Ally's Christmas list, thus far.
She wants a bow and arrow, her little sister Sette and some chapter books.
The Disney store had a Brave bow and arrow set and she wishes she would have picked that when we were there.  I don't know that she remembers Cosette, but I do know she feels that something is missing from her world.  I know I feel that piece missing from my daily life.  I miss my little girl so much and so sweet will be the day that we can be united again.  On that day my family will be complete.  Until then, we do our best to ensure we are doing all we can to live our lives focused on Christ and serving others.  I love my Savior.  I love my Sette and Ally.  I look forward to the day that they can be reunited and reignite that bond.  I am thankful for my testimony of the gospel.  I am thankful for temples and being a forever family.  I look forward to meeting this little baby in a few months.  I know the kids are just as excited.  I love that my kids are so close in age and are best friends, most days.  For Ben, I am truly hoping that the ultrasound was correct and that this little baby is a boy.  Ben loves his sisters, but wants a boy on his side (that isn't daddy).

August 6

August 19

Sept 9

This is so fun to watch.
The cat loves it because she isn't getting abused by the 2 year old, but is getting played with nicely.

Ohhh my kids

Little Miss can be quite moody
 and emotional and dramatic.
I love this spunky, crazy, determined, strong willed, Houdini of a 2 year old.

Josephine's sink bath

Jo's sink bath

Ally took SO many sink baths, as did Sette.  But it seems easier to just bathe them all at the same time in the bath tub vs. just washing the smallest one.  She had a blast.

Sleeping Beauty

She woke up from her nap after only being asleep for 30 minutes, came downstairs and went back to sleep for an hour.  She's been a grump lately, so I'm not sure what her deal is.
In other news: Jo's toe is going to be fine, the nail will most likely fall off.
I have vacuumed and shampooed the basement carpets 5 times in the last 4 weeks.  Cat pee is the worst.  On a positive note, I have super clean carpets that didn't need to be cleaned, but have gotten lots of extra attention.  I am hoping this final cleaning does the trick.
Today is the day to clean curtains.
I failed the glucose test for the first time in 6 pregnancies.  I am quite bummed.

Brown County State Park

Right before leaving to take Ally to piano, Josey picked up a gallon of apple juice and dropped it on her toe.  Matt made a call to the Dr. to see what they wanted to do.  The wanted to wait until Monday to see her.  So we continued on with our day and just kept flip flops on Jo when she was not being carried.  The park was beautiful.  The walk was fun.
Jo is a bit too big now for this particular carrier.
Lucy helped mommy be the caboose and we went slow.
 Ally was our trailblazer.
Ben was just fine letting Ally lead.
The girl did not want her picture taken, so she closed her eyes.

No, she's not sleeping, just hiding from the camera.

Attitude

Little Miss is FULL of attitude.
Part of that is her trying to go #2 with a camera in her face.
We see this "stink face" too often.

Luckily though, she shares this cute smile with us the rest of the time.

I am so glad they have each other.
They are best buds.

A morning with the girls

Jo and Lu love to draw and color.  It is usually their first choice when I ask them what they want to do after we drop Ben and Ally at school.
