2 State Parks in 1 day

We started our day of exploring at Charlestown State Park.

We walked across the bridge to Rose Island.  It was neat to imagine what some of the buildings would have looked like and how exciting the atmosphere must've felt.

Right next to the Ohio River.

After a picnic lunch, we drove to Clifty Falls State Park.
This is definitely a must return to.  The kids had fun, but I think we were all ready to be done at this point.
Behind them is the Big Clifty Falls.
From here, we drove towards home and stopped at the Nike outlet and got Briggs a new pair of shoes (he calls them hikees).  Then we fed the crew at Applebees (the kids all had free kids meal coupons from school). It was a great day and fun to explore new parks in our beautiful state.
